CAMP RULES AND RECYCLING POLICIES
To promote a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere
and environment, the following POLICIES are
in place at the Mahia Beach Motels and Holiday Park.
1. 1 car and a maximum of 6
persons per site.
2. Car speed within the camping ground is at WALKING PACE ONLY.(Watch for children
at all times)
3. Accounts must be paid in full on arrival.
5. Once your camp fees are paid refunds are at the
discretion of the manager.
6. We are a FAMILY
camp. Please ensure behaviour, language and dress code reflects that, at all
times.
7. No persons under the age 18 can camp here unless
accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
8. Car stereos are NOT
to be on whilst on the camp grounds, other music must be kept to a level that
does not disturb other guests.
9. NO excessive noise is allowed at anytime. After 10pm no
noise or music is allowed.
10. Guests are to be considerate in regard to voices,
music, TVs, car doors etc especially at night.
11. Drinking of alcohol is permitted at guests’ reserved
sites only.
12. No taking of illegal drugs is tolerated. Result:
instant eviction and the police will be notified.
13. No drunk and disorderly behaviour will be tolerated.
14. No
walking around with OPEN alcohol bottles or drinking vessels at any time of
day. If you don’t want it tipped out keep the lids on while moving within the
camp.
15. Empty cans and bottles to be placed in recycle bins provided.
Situated beside the brick ablution block.
(Bring a container with you, that you can use to carry your recyclables
in)
16. Please bring your drinks in either plastic or cans
where ever possible
17. The Manager is the final arbiter of the above polices.
18. The front gate will be locked each night from 10pm to 5am unless prior arrangement is
made with the manager. (from the 25 of December to 6 of January)
19. Check out time is 10am on day of departure. Check
in time is after 1pm on day of
arrival.
NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE CAMP BETWEEN 1
DECEMBER AND 1 FEBRUARY
If you are found to have a dog with you, the dog and you will be evicted and there will be no refund of fees.
THE MANAGER IS AVAILABLE AFTER HOURS ABOVE THE OFFICE.

RECYCLING
POLICY
The Mahia Beach Holiday
Park has a committed policy of recycling:
GLASS, PLASTIC, TIN
and ALUMINIUM CANS, CARDBOARD and CLEAN PAPER.
The recycle centre is
situated beside the BRICK ABLUTION BLOCK
on the men’s side.
The wall is well
labelled. PLEASE take the time to
separate items for recycling.

Food scraps can be placed straight
into the barrels marked “food scraps
only” in the camp kitchen. Other non recyclable waste should be placed in
plastic bags or wrapped in newspaper and placed in the HOUSEHOLD rubbish opening at the recycle centre or put in the
appropriate rubbish bins provided in the kitchens.
All milk bottles and
food cans must be rinsed before taking to the recycle centre as the FLIES love dirty containers BUT we don’t like FLIES.
Please be considerate of each other and
help make our camp a happy and healthy place o have a holiday.
If any of your camping
equipment fails please place it by the gates at the back of the recycle centre
for camp staff to dispose of.
NO
FISH WASTE TO BE PLACED IN THE RECYCLE CENTRE.
There
is a fish cleaning area at the back of the Brick
Ablution Block and a freezer is provided to place waste in.
Please
then take your waste back to the sea when next you go fishing.
Put
your fish waste in plastic bags. Thank you.
